May 16, 2020 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
On May 16th, our Rotary Club will again be volunteering to assist the Hunger Task Force with building Stock Boxes for low income seniors. We will be volunteering during the morning shift 9am-12pm). This is a great event to involve family members so please register them as well. We volunteered to have 15+ volunteers so I want to make sure we fulfill our obligation. For those that are not familiar with Stockboxes, the Stockboxes are part of the CSFP program organized, prepared, and distributed through Hunger Task Force. HTF makes about 10,000 Stockboxes each month and the recipients are seniors in Milwaukee County that are eligible based on age and income level. The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA Foods The event takes place at the Hunger Task Force warehouse (300 E. College Avenue, Building #205, Milwaukee 53207) located at MKE Regional Business Park (used to be an Air Force base). The building is 2nd on the right after you enter the business park. Look for the sign on the corner of the building directing you to the Volunteer Entrance, park in that parking area and enter at the BLUE door marked D. A few policies I want to make sure you are aware of:
