Congo Helping Hands

Guest speaker at Whitnall Park Rotary Club on September 25 will be Jeff Mullins, a Roman Catholic missionary with Congo Helping Hands. Congo Helping Hands is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that works in the Democratic Republic of Congo in central Africa. It is a non-profit Christian organization that works in partnership to improve the quality of life through human development in health, education, agriculture, and microeconomics. Jeff has been working with this organization for the last 12 years. He is from West Allis and attends Mary Queen of Heaven RC parish. Jeff’s primary mission is the Mpandeli Centers in the Kasai, a group of schools for the physically and mentally handicapped. Recently they have been providing emergency food for the war-torn areas of the Kasai. Jeff just recently returned after providing food for over 5,000 people.
