Whitnall Park Rotary Club is proud to have supported a $3,500 grant to the Greendale School District to fund a Literacy Project supporting 2nd grade students at College Park Elementary School. The grant was made possible by a $3,000 grant from Rotary District 6270.
On March 12, the Whitnall Park Rotary Club was able to take part in a reading event using the materials purchased with the grant. The event, called Westward Expansion Day, allowed the students to dress up “for the prairie” and learn at each stop along the “westward expansion”. Such a creative way for the students to learn from this Knowledge Unit!!! Our Rotarians were thrilled to take part in this event!!!
